2011

On Sunday, October 2, 2011, once again Dennis "wowed" the audience at Harmony Center for Spiritual Living performing for their concert series to raise funds for a new roof.  It was a lovely afternoon of grooving to many songs from Dennis's first CD, Take Me To Your Love.  I particularly enjoyed the updated arrangements of I'll Be Around (Whenever You Call Me) and In-Between, two of my favorites. Surprises in the set included a couple of beautifully presented two-song medleys, Landslide/Try to Remember and Hard to Make a Stand/Teach Your Children.  I was more than moved by Dennis' renditions of Man in the Mirror and the breathtaking, Nearer Than the Air. Dennis has a knack for connecting to his audience certainly through his voice but also through his comments and stories about each piece, particularly his own compositions which made up over half of the set.
In speaking with many audience members after the show, we all agreed that having Dennis sing and play the piano for us was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday, June 26, 2011, a littlie bit of spiritual magic took place at the Long Beach Playhouse.  Presented by the Center for Inspirational Living, Dennis kicked off their summer concert series with an evening of song and mighty fine piano playing featuring songs from his latest album, "Look Within".
Dennis immediately drew the audience into his music by weaving the experience that prompted choosing each song with his direct connection to the lyrics of the songs, many of which are his own compositions. He also invited the audience to participate in the music by singing along to some obvious favorites like "Set on God" and "River of Heaven" (from his first CD, "Take Me To Your Love"). The packed house was rockin' for sure at several times during the evening. Then there were moments when a tear came to the eye like when Dennis sang his powerful rendition of the R. Kelly song, "I Look to You". His set list included a nice mixture of spiritual songs and some inspirational pop covers like "Imagine" and "Put a Little Love in Your Heart". It was an amazingly beautiful evening.

A constant source of abundance came flowing into Dennis's life to create this work. It's like it recorded itself and he was just there to witness it...

A MATCH MEANT TO BE.

These two powerhouse singers Stacy Sullivan and Dennis Bryan come together for a night of holiday music.

Destined to have their paths cross, they were introduced through several of their friends with the intention of making some beautiful music together. Well that moment has arrived. Their first meeting produced the song Storybook Ending, lyrics by Stacy, music by Dennis. This orignal tune will make it's debut as a duet on this night, along with several romantic songs, shared laughs and lots of love. Don't miss this extraordinary event December 5th, 2009.

Performing "River of Heaven" on stage at Asilomar in August for the science of mind spiritual retreat, ARISE!!!"Sitting in" with the other talented musicians and doing back up for Rickie Byars Beckwith. What an amazing experience!!!

Dennis has been involved in the science of mind philosophy for several years now and continues to perform in services all over southern California. Join him in celebration of the light within by supporting a new recording project of spiritual songs he has written and inspirational songs he has performed. This unique project needs your support. You can make a donation and have your name credited on the CD with an autograhped copy. E-mail for more details. See "Talk To Me" tab.

Normally, Frisco's is a cheesyliciously fun 50's themed carhop diner with servers on skates and campy dance routines. However, they are doing a COMPLETE 180 TURN on Valentine's night and hosting a more classy cocktail and dessert lounge music night with "easy- listening" music to set the mood. NO skates, NO balloons, NO kids this night. This night is open invitation. Singles and couples welcome. Dennis will be playing from 6:30 - 8:30 and then the group treehouse will perform from 9:00 on. See you there!

The theater is at 5021 East Anaheim street, Long Beach, CA 90804. Tickets are $25 ($20 with stub from prior show at the theater) Box Office (562) 494-1014. Don't miss it!!!

2006 This was a thrilling one night concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Warner Grand Theater in San Pedro.

Singing with the Golden State Pops Orchestra and starring J.R. Richards from the band Dishwalla.

2006 started with a bang!

Once again Dennis joined the talent at the Norris Center for The Performing Arts. "Ebb Tide" brought out the crooner in him. It wasn't hard to do.

2005
First he joins the A Capella group Crescendo for two wonderful nights of Christmas music.

Their long talked about collaboration features a new version of the Peanuts "Christmastime Is Here" that Dennis arranged especially for them to sing together and his own "Just Another Christmas".

Also another festive night with his friend Joanne LaPointe at the Bistro 400 in Santa Ana. Merry Christmas to all!!!

The Orange County Register called Dennis's Pirelli "A garish dandy with a gorgeous Italian Tenor!" What do ya know!

JULY - AUGUST 2005
- Dennis goes on tour to Italy and Prague. It was another smashing success abroad including the honor of singing a solo at the Vatican. Incredible!

3/11 - 4/2
: The Who's Tommy opens with Dennis as Captain Walker. He's the one that dies in the movie ...but not in the musical! LOL!

2/25 - 27: Once again, Dennis lends his voice to the Norris Center For The Performing Arts with his plaintive renditon of "When Sunny Gets Blue"

2004 Dennis and his friend Joanne LaPointe kick off the Christmas season with a special night of holiday music and laughter at Bistro 400. Christmastime Is Here!!!

Dennis was asked back to the Norris Center For The Performing Arts for another thrilling performance with The Impossible Dream and the duet from Aladdin A Whole New World!

Concerts in Beijing, China: Dennis "wows" the crowd as the Phantom from Phantom of the Opera.

2003 Dennis performs songs from his first CD in two cabaret nights at Ripples in Long Beach. He'll also be giving away copies of his upcoming Christmas mini-CD. Join him for these special evenings of songs to groove to and people to laugh with.

2002 Dennis gets back from Australia. From singing "This Masquerade" on the Sydney Opera House stage to performing in amazing cathedrals through Cairns, Canberra and into New Zealand. What an experience!

Playing an ironworker who's been through some tough times in the musical "Working", Dennis dances, acts and sings his way through the show, a triple threat. His solo "Fathers and Sons" never failed to move the audience to tears.

His performance at the Norris Center for the Performing Arts, "Movie's Greatest Moments", prompted the director to comment on the "stunned silence" in the audience while he touched the hearts of all with his special rendition of Go The Distance from Disney's "Hercules" and the romantic duet Come What May from "Moulin Rouge".

M I L E S T O N E

Dennis releases JUST ANOTHER CHRISTMAS. A seasonal mini-CD containing more original material. The title track
recalls the memory of an old relationship during the holidays.

Also included is one of his favorites,  "Christmastime Is Here", from the Peanuts and a bonus track never released before, entitled "Wake Not the Dead". Orginally written for the play Dracula, this tune evolved into "Wake Not the Dead/For the Life of One". A slow and haunting melody that segues into a full on rock opera style piece in the tradition of Jesus Christ Superstar and Phantom of the Opera.

Although not a Christmas song, it seemed to fit into the Autumn/Winter seasonal time frame.

Dennis releases TAKE ME TO YOUR LOVE. This CD is jam packed with a variety of songs of different styles.

It runs the gamut of emotions from the sexy frankness of TAKE ME TO YOUR LOVE, the matter of fact WHEN ARE YOU COMING HOME?, the sweet lullaby SLEEP, the simplicity of I'LL BE THERE (WHENEVER YOU CALL), the pain of IN-BETWEEN to the direct RIVER OF HEAVEN.

Dennis wrote 7 of the 11 tracks and starts off with a straight R & B and adds a little jazz and pop. Something for everyone. Enjoy!
